Submissions

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • You have registered also on the conference website
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • You have made payment and have a scanned copy of the teller to upload as proof of payment

Abstract submission

To submit an abstract, proceed to the abstract submission portal, register, and upload the abstract (submit only MS Word –  doc, docx format). To conclude the abstract submission, make payments online. Alternatively, scan copies of the conference registration and abstract processing fee payment tellers and upload them on the registration portal.”

Please note that the payment of the abstract processing fee is a pre-requisite to processing the abstract but DOES NOT guarantee eventual acceptance by the Scientific Committee.

The abstract should be 250 words typed in Microsoft Word Times New Roman, Font size 12, and in good English. The abstract should contain the Title, Author(s) and Affiliation(s), Full Address, and e-mails. FIVE Keywords should be provided. The Abstract should be structured into sections including Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. The corresponding author’s telephone number and email address are identified by placing an asterisk by the surname) should also be indicated. Download the Abstract Template for use”.  Abstracts should be submitted no later than 30th June 2023.

To submit an abstract, participants will be expected to pay the appropriate conference registration fee (click here to view payment option as well as the abstract processing fees of ₦3000 (Three Thousand Naira Only) per abstract into the account of the Biotechnology Centre, Covenant University (UBA Bank, Account No: 1020933505).

 

Poster Submission

Authors submitting posters should download the NSM 2023 Poster Template and use it for the preparation of their posters. Posters not conforming to the standard template will be rejected. The poster should be submitted no later than 30th June 2023.

Article Submission

The full articles presented during the conference and accepted for publication after the standard peer-review process will be published in a special edition of the Covenant Journal of Health and Life Sciences.

The full article should be arranged in the order.

  1. The first page of the manuscript should contain the title (in bold title case), the Name(s) of the Author(s) in total, their Affiliation(s), the Full Address and e-mail of the corresponding Author, and a full text of the Abstract (250 words).
  2. The text should be typed in Times New Romans font size 12; organized into the following sub-sections in bold lower-case letters: Introduction, Materials, and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References.
  3. References should be purely Harvard style.

Manuscripts that do not conform to the recommended format, deadline, and payment of prescribed fees will be rejected.  As with the abstract, download the full Paper Template and submit it  when completed here no later than 30th June 2023
