Abstract

Private institutions in Nigeria are constantly challenged to improve on the quality of their facilities with a view to continually satisfy students, their primary consumer. This research examined the demographic factors that determine students’ satisfaction with academic facilities in private universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. The study is an exploratory cross-sectional survey which sampled seven hundred and seventy (770) students in selected universities. Five hundred and twenty-two (522) questionnaires were returned and analysed using Mann Withney-U test, Kruskal Walis and Cross-tabulation. The analyses showed that four out of the five demographic factors sampled have no effect on students’ satisfaction. The implication of these findings were discussed and appropriate recommendations made.
